I think both candidates knew what they were doing, although Obama might have wanted to avoid the negative publicity. But between the recent gun control law defeat and that town Hazelton which enacted tough laws on illegal immigration, our state has shown that it is inclined to vote based on wedge issues. And probably people wouldn't care so much if the statewide economy was booming. It's a bonus for local politicians, who can grab an issue as needed. But it does make us look pretty backward.
OK, I'm thinking that Stewart ripped off a big part of Samantha Bennett's PG column last week! I'm talking almost word for word and emotion for emotion. He even alluded to how badly he and Colbert blew the PA details.
I think the last joke is going to be on Colbert and Stewart. Ten or fifteen years from now people will parody them as is done on the VH1's "I love the 80s" show. Today's act will look foolish tomorrow.

i love this clip - it may play off of outdated stereotypes, etc. etc....but it's still so true.
a tired joke for cheap laughs

The city went for Obama 58% to 41%.

Hey let's hope some elite dude from Scotland shows up again to exploit us by creating jobs for us so we can buy more beer for the Stiller game.
Dudes like that are short our bonds.
