Pittsburgh City Data Message Board

I just happened across City-Data, a website that hosts message boards for cities around the country. Here's the Pittsburgh board, which is pretty lively place, especially for folks moving to Pittsburgh from other parts of the U.S. or just plain nostalgic about Western PA.

The main Pittsburgh Page also has some great Burgh photos, too. They have pictures with clouds, snow, significant summer haze, etc, and photos of many places in the city, as opposed to the usual Pgh "publicity photos" of the Golden Triangle, taken on on rare crystal-clear summer days.

Just a comment on your blog, and your city.

My wife and I have struggled to get by in the DC metro area for years, both as married people and as individuals. Now, after six years, we've decided to chuck our non-existance here and buy a house in Pittsburgh for the simple reason that it is affordable.

Perhaps the grass is greener, or just appears greener. But in any instance I'd rather live in a recovering urban center wich produces something other than laws. We need a life style that is more life than style. You just can't get that here, but I have a strong feeling we have a shot of getting it there.

Thanks for the comment and news. We look forward to joining you.

Will

Some may feel squeamish about eating it, but rabbit has a fan base that grows as cooks discover how easy they are to raise — and how good the meat tastes.
