Guilty, Guilty, Guilty!

Though one of my themes on this blog is the need for Pittsburgh to be more proactive in building (economic) (technological) bridges to other regions, I've failed as badly as anyone at putting my money -- or at least my links -- where my mouth is.

So over to the right, I am starting a collection of links to regional tech and business blogs that focus on other parts of the country. (I'm also happy to include blogs that address technology communities outside the U.S.) This can't be a comprehensive list, but I'd like to include a representative lot from both mature technology communities and from growing and/or struggling ones. Feel free to suggest links by email or in the Comments.

This is a bit far afield, but we're locally producing a podcast about regenerative medicine (a biotech field in which Pgh is a leader). We have and will continue to cover the work of researchers from institutes around the country.

This should help make it easier to manage links. If a link goes dead, it doesn't appear. You can add a RSS news box to your blog. It's simple and can be customized as needed.

Here's a mix.

This mix will provide current Pittsburgh news and blog posts.

It is a good method for keeping your blog fresh if you are busy doing other things. Here is a security mix that uses US-CERT rdf feeds. You can easily add a security box to your blog.

Mike, I recently updated one of my blogs, Convergence, to include more useful links to technical blogs from around the web.

Many of the links I include deal with Web 2.0, Internet, and technology trends in communities (venture capital, high-tech, silicon valley) that may be of interest to your readers. Hope this helps. Take care.
